Automation of Processes and Production

The "Automation of Processes and Production" competence is focused on the development, construction, commissioning, maintenance, localization and troubleshooting of automated equipment and mechatronic devices and systems, as well as programming control systems and developing interfaces for equipment interaction with humans.

This competence is based on the skills and knowledge of such specialists as: draftsman-designer, technician, design engineer.

The contest task is completed by the participant, then the rating is set by experts.

The minimum number of experts in the evaluation group is 4 people. A measurable and judicial rating is given by 3 non-patriot experts in relation to the participant. Expert # 4 is required to replace a fellow citizen in case of evaluation of its participant.

Checking the level

Each specialist is assigned to the level of proficiency in two groups of knowledge and skills

Knowledge and skill groups

Professional skillsspecializations of the participant

  • Know the principles of functioning of components, aggregates and electronic modules of mechatronic devices and systems
  • Be able to use tools for assembling components of mechatronic devices and systems
  • Be able to use methods for setting up and adjusting electronic modules of mechatronic devices

General professional skills that are universal for the team

  • Know the principles of constructing components and assemblies of mechatronic devices and systems, their composition and design features
  • Know the basics of the theory of machines and mechanisms
  • Know the basics of information technology and systems
  • Read diagrams, drawings, and process documentation

Evaluating skills

Skills are evaluated through the quality and effectiveness of work actions.

Labor action groups

The evaluation group checks the correctness of connections to the corresponding I/O terminals and the correct operability of elements and sensors according to the competition task.

The efficiency of the PLC control program is evaluated: The design of the HMI panel is checked in accordance with the placement of graphic elements, their color, shape and behavior described in the competition task. The judges 'evaluation criteria are described in the document "Professional Practice".

The speed of task completion is estimated based on the time spent by the Participant on completing the task, early exit.


Ad platform rules

  1. Work on the site – both Participants and Experts, is carried out strictly according to the work plan on the site
  2. Working hours are tracked by a timer that is visible from everywhere.
  3. There should be no foreign objects on the participant's desk: flash drives, notebooks, headphones, smart watches, cases, bags, etc.
  4. The following items are allowed on the participant's table: a fountain pen, pencil, paper, medicines, and eating at lunchtime.

On the championship site
  • During the preparation process the participant interacts with their own expert companion
  • During the task, the participant will raise their hand, if a question arises and 3 non-patriot experts approach them.
  • During the competition day when completing a task participants are not allowed to communicate with fellow experts

Site operation plan

  • The site's work plan is published, indicating the time and location
  • The plan contains all the important information for Experts and Participants
  • We start and finish on time, "Seven don't wait for one" is our principle

Participant's workplace

  • The equipment of the workplace is regulated by the "Tool Box", information about which is provided in the Technical Description of the competence, in the section
  • "Special materials, equipment, tools", subsection "Materials, equipment and tools in the"Toolbox".
  • The procedure for creating a workplace, "Tool Box", is given in Appendix 2 to the Technical Description of the competence

STRICTLY PROHIBITED BY THE RULES

  1. During the competition days from C1 to C3, bring to the workplace and/or remove from the workplace any information in electronic, printed or handwritten form
  2. Use communication tools on the site: smartphones, tablets, etc.
  3. Perform attempts and / or data transfers from on-site and off-site workstations by any means other than those permitted by the Contest Task
  4. During the contest task, communicate with anyone without the permission of the Chief Expert, except for the members of your team
