Environmental protection

The competence has been included in the AtomSkills competition program since 2019.
The competence "Environmental protection" is an assessment of the work of an environmental protection specialist (ecologist), who ensures the functioning of the environmental protection management system in industry, as well as the prevention or minimization of the negative impact of an enterprise's production activities on the environment.

List of professional tasks of an ecologist
  1. Categorize and normalize the company's environmental impact
  2. Industrial environmental control and monitoring of the state of the environment
  3. Develop plans for environmental protection and rational use of natural resources
  4. Develop regulatory documents and prepare environmental reports

Content of the competence

Competence Team

The format of participation in the Environmental Protection competence is individual.
The contest task is performed by each participant independently, and the rating is set by an expert group.

Completing and evaluating a task

Participants consistently complete 4 modules of the task

The results of each module are evaluated by experts at the end of the current competition day (or the next day).
Experts are trained in verification methods and tools.


Competitive task

During the allotted competition time, the participant must:

  1. Understand the received source data
  2. Perform the necessary calculations
  3. Fill in the submitted results forms

Evaluation

Checking the level

Each specialist is tested for the level of proficiency in two groups of knowledge and skills

Knowledge and skill groups

Professional skills based on the participant's specialization

  • take into account indicators that characterize the state of the environment. ;
  • identify sources of environmental pollution;
  • assess the effects of environmental pollution;
  • conduct a survey of the effectiveness of environmental protection equipment;

General professional skills that are universal for participants

  • perform calculations based on the source data in accordance with the developed methods;
  • document information and create reports based on established forms;
  • develop documents regulating the activities of enterprises;
  • determine the requirements of regulatory acts and standards;

Evaluating skills

Skills are evaluated through the quality and effectiveness of work actions.

Evaluation rules
  • Assessment of participants ' knowledge is carried out exclusively through the practical implementation of a Competitive task.
  • Theoretical knowledge is not explicitly tested.
  • Only an objective assessment of the participants ' work is applied.
  • The rating is based on a 100-point scale.
  • The evaluation team, which consists of expert mentors, is responsible for evaluating competitive modules.
  • All participants ' responses are encrypted.

Competence work plan

  • The work plan is published with an indication of the time and place.
  • The plan contains all the important information for Experts and Participants.
  • We start and finish on time, "Seven don't wait for one" is our principle.

Participant's workplace

  • The participant's workplace is equipped in accordance with the infrastructure sheet provided in the Technical Description of the competence.
  • There should be no foreign objects on the participant's desk: flash drives, notebooks, headphones, smart watches, cases, bags, etc.
  • The following items are allowed on the participant's desk: pen, pencil, eraser, paper, calculator, medicine, flag.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED BY THE RULES

  1. During the competition days from C1 to C4, bring to the workplace and/or remove from the workplace any information in electronic, printed or handwritten form
  2. Use communication tools on the site while completing a competitive task: smartphones, tablets, etc.
  3. Perform attempts and / or data transfers from on-site and off-site workstations by any means other than those permitted by the Contest Task
  4. While completing a competitive task, communicate with someone without the permission of the Chief Expert
