A process comprising a set of activities related to technical decision making to develop a concept that should form the basis of a NF decommissioning project that ensures the most cost-effective decommissioning.
Karakuri engineering thinking
Karakuri is a mechanical device to facilitate labor-intensive operations and prevent losses. Competitions in this competence include competitive work of participants, embodiment of an operating Karakuri mock-up, development of the device operating manual.

The aim of the competence is to create a professional growth environment for participants to demonstrate and improve their skills in designing buildings and structures for various purposes, including utilities and utility systems featuring information modeling technology.
Technology of composites
The competence includes the manufacture of a polymer composite product using engineering, production, technological and organizational techniques, tools and skills involved in the design, process preparation, manufacture and testing of the finished product by a team of complementary specialists.
Life cycle management
The competence includes solving an engineering problem, which involves research and analysis of the market, development of design and process documentation, elaboration of product design, assessment of the project investment attractiveness.
Software solutions for business
Development of software products requires a broad knowledge of information technology. Developers are engaged in a complex set of tasks related to the analysis of the subject area, design and development of various versions of software products.
Industrial mechanics and installation (industrial equipment repair and adjustment)
(Industrial equipment repair and adjustment)* - Equipment malfunctions occur in manufacturing facilities in case of equipment misuse, wrong actions of industrial equipment operators, and wear and tear from prolonged use. Repair services have been established at the enterprises to fix malfunctions and keep equipment in good operating condition.
Geodesy
To participate in the competence, a specialist should be able to read design and detailed design documentation, be able to work with modern geodetic measuring instruments, provide the construction site with a geodetic control network, support construction with accurate coordinates and elevations, prepare as-built survey maps and many other tasks.
Mechanical engineering process engineer
A specialist in this field is engaged in the development and organization of production and processes in accordance with regulatory documentation. The scope of their activity includes selection of necessary tools, equipment and process tooling, determination of the sequence of processing parts and assembling units, quality and performance control, determination of the best equipment arrangement in a production facility.

Milling machines enable making intricate parts and gain a tremendous skill in machining materials. Therefore, this type of metal processing keeps growing, despite the already high level that allows for the highest quality and speed of processing
Budgeting
Specialists of the competence are responsible for the development, verification and analysis of cost estimates of any complexity based on input data, within the framework of a terms of reference and existing regulatory documentation.
Process systems of energy facilities
Specialists of the competence solve challenging engineering tasks during design, commissioning and operation of primary and auxiliary process systems (equipment) of various power facilities, and identify problematic operational issues to prevent disturbances in the operation of power facilities.
Radiation monitoring
(Dosimetrist) - The competence represents a set of skills of an employee to conduct dosimetric and radiometric measurements of various ionizing radiations, to determine radiation safety indicators, to conduct radiation monitoring, to process measurement results, to prepare documentation, to master new techniques in the field of radiation safety, to audit the conduct and organization of work in conditions of radiation hazard, to properly select and use personal protective equipment.
Non-destructive testing
Maintenance and repair of relay protection and automatics
The main purpose of relay protection is to detect the location of short-circuit and quick automatic tripping of circuit breakers of damaged equipment or network section, detection of disturbed normal operating modes of equipment and giving warning signals to the operating personnel or shutdown of equipment with a time delay.
Occupational health and safety
The competence involves knowledge and skills in such areas as support to functioning of occupational safety management system, organizing occupational safety training, ensuring safe working conditions, organizing the investigation of accidents and micro-injuries at work, identifying and managing occupational risks at workplaces, improving safety culture, providing first aid, and knowledge and ability to competently apply occupational safety regulations when monitoring the compliance with the occupational safety and health requirements.
Industrial automatics
The competence includes elements of electrical installation, automation and mechatronics installation. It requires knowledge of basic wiring and automation systems, metal processing skills, programming, circuit design, and the ability to troubleshoot setup and installation.
Quantum technologies
The competence addresses the issues of information security, high-speed processing of large amounts of data, ultra-precise measurements of small values, modeling of complex heterostructures of different materials and complex molecules, etc. During the competition, participants demonstrate their ability to work on modern quantum key distribution systems and quantum computers.
